Primark haul

Hi :]

I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather we've had the past few days?

So today I went on a mission to buy lots of nice work clothes, but ended up only buying from Primark.

So, I bought....

Black shirt with peter pan collar £6.00
All £4.00 each. I bought the mint and peach shirts on another visit but picked up a white in a smaller size today. Note: They're very oversized!
Floral sequin shoes £6.00

White with pink lining & bows £6.00

Leopard print with black bows £5.00
Patent black belt with white & gold bow £2.00

Hair rollers x 8 per pack for £1.00 each

Hair bow clip £1.00

Wired floral hairband reduced to £1.00
Hairbands £1.00 & flannels x 3 £1.50 for the gym

I'm also changing my hair routine (to try and save it) so thought once a week I'll try this to help...

£1.69 from Boots
Has anyone ever tried this?

Dove Maximum Protection Deodorant. Yay or nay?

Hellooo :]

Today I thought I'd write a little review about this guy...

Image taken from Boots website
Whenever I go to the gym, I always make sure I have on plenty of deodorant (Dove Go Fresh Grapefruit Anti-perspirant). Now, unless I'm missing something or there's some beauty secret I'm unaware of (if so, please tell me), whenever I reapply and go to the gym, it never lasts. I really shouldn't bother!
As I'm now going to the gym on a daily basis, I really had to find something else 'cause I was getting so paranoid about how I'd smell after a workout. Let's face it, after working out, how you smell is the least of your worries!

I nipped into Boots the other day to pick up some other bits and figured I'd have a look at the Sure Maximum Protection, as I'd seen it advertised on TV and the idea of no sweat, although possibly dangerous, seemed perfect. The Sure version was out of stock in the scent I'd choose but saw the Dove version and thought 'hey, I'll give it a go'.

Deodorant is never cheap but this is by far the most expensive one I have ever purchase at a whopping £5.30 for 45ml. Yes, pricey...

BUT

this is by far, THE BEST deodorant I have ever used.

I went to the gym this morning to trial it. I hadn't had a shower that morning, only from the previous night so didn't have any deodorant on. Popped this on and went for a 30 minute workout. Now, I do think I sweat more than the average being in the gym, but woah! I didn't have that damp gym/sweaty smell afterwards and my underarms still smelt rather fragrant, which was a bonus.

If you are also suffering from a case of seriously sweaty underarms at the gym (or just day to day) then spend the pennies and give this a go!

I really do believe it's worth every penny, although I'm only going to use it for my little trips to the gym.

Has anyone tried the Sure version? I'm tempted to give it a try once this has run out...

Little update

Hi everyone,

There aren't many followers here so far but hopefully that'll change soon :]

Well... there isn't actually that much to update this week, especially with it being Easter. I haven't been too bad, as only my mum and dad bought me something, which is good :] no temptation, eh?

I've been going to the gym three times a week and I swear Saturday almost killed me!!

My boyfriend and I are hopefully moving house soon, so we've been packing, clearing and cleaning ready for that and it's amazing how much it takes out of you. I don't think our flat has ever been so clean and my legs have never ached so much!

A cheeky takeaway tonight, just because we're too tired to cook but I will start posting more soon. I'm thinking 'ROTW' (receipe of the week), what my fitness routine is, weekly weigh-ins and things like that.

What do you think?

I also have a couple of reviews to do, which include the Q10 firming oil which i've been using once or twice every day as well as a couple of workout dvds!

If you want to see something different here, please let me know :]

Just a little intro

Hi everyone =]

Welcome to my new blog, Pass the scales!

I didn't want to clog up Sugar plump beauty with all my weight loss mumbo so thought I'd create a new blog just to include progress, tips and recipes for you all!

For those of you who don't know me (and even those who do), i'm currently in the process of trying to lose a couple of stone, not only to feel better and more confident about myself but to become a lot healthier as well. I'm currently a UK size 18 and I weigh a lot more than I care to mention in my introduction but maybe in time, eh?

If you've been following me in the above blog, you'll already know that i've been exercising and dieting for a month already and have now managed to lose a stone :] I'm pretty sure I gave myself a high five when I jumped off the scales!

This blog is going to be an open and honest account of my journey along with any tips or recipes I can share with you.

I'm going to try and update daily with either a little tip or perhaps a recipe (maybe what I had for dinner? MOTD - meal of the day? Perhaps it'll catch on....) but we'll see.

Please comment if you're also losing weight or have any great recipes for me to try!
